Natasha Mehta Founder and Director
Dr. Natasha Mehta has a diverse and rich experience in the field of education. The early years of her career were spent teaching in residential schools in the north of India. She was the Head of Curriculum Development at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, one of the oldest and most renowned schools in India. She has taught educational administration and educational psychology at the Oriental College of Education, Mumbai. Dr. Mehta has been a resource person for UGC (University Grants Commission). She has been the head of both ICSE and IGCSE schools in Mumbai. She has authored about 52 books and is an author with Pearson Longman since the last fourteen years. She has also written for the Australian Council for Educational Research magazine.Natasha has also been the founder Principal of the first and flagship EuroSchool in Navi Mumbai and Group Principal of EuroSchools. She holds Masters degrees in Zoology and English and a PhD in Education Psychology. Dr. Mehta is Passionate about innovative practices in education, teacher training, leadership mentoring, blended learning and inclusive education.
Joggeshwar (Jogy) Das Vice President, Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, D'Youville College, New York
Jogy Das has in the past served as Associate Dean in the School of Education for the State University of New York at Oswego, helping the school achieve national recognition for teacher preparation programs improving upon college professional associations and national accreditation. He has made contributions in research, education, mentoring, advising, administration, and globalization, helping to lead through effective communication with faculty, staff, and administrators in order to create a culture of continuous improvement. Prior to SUNY Oswego, Jogy spent 25 years at Ohio State University, serving in multiple positions including Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programs at the Fisher College of Business School, Director of Undergraduate and Graduate services, and Manager for Quality Data Reporting for the College of Education. Having been published extensively, Jogy has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences, taught a variety of courses, and holds a deep interest and appreciation for supporting the success of students, especially international students studying in the United States. Jogy holds an ABD from Ohio State in Anthropology and has two master’s degrees, an MA in Anthropology from Ohio State University and an MSc from the University of Delhi along with a BSc in Anthropology from the University of Delhi.
Andy Gray Chief Academic Mentor
A UK national, Andy Gray began his teaching career at Shrewsbury, one of the UK’s most prestigious schools, followed by four years at the Lawrence School, Sanawar, one of India’s best known residential schools. On his return to the UK he taught in Chester and Bristol before heading schools in Yorkshire and Scotland and becoming the Chief Executive of an Educational Foundation in Cheshire. He was elected Chairman of the ‘National Association of Independent & Non-Maintained Schools’ in 1995 and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1996. He was a member of a number of UK Government committees involved with such initiatives as the National Curriculum, Special Educational Needs Policy and Teacher Development. At the request of the Secretary (Education), Government of India, he returned to India as Headmaster of the Lawrence School, Sanawar in 2000. He was subsequently appointed Head of the Governing Council of EuroSchool in 2005 and since 2012 has been working as a freelance writer and consultant in both India and the UK. A member of the India International Centre, New Delhi he is also a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.
Dr. Hemlata Chari Head Educational Technology
Dr. Hemlata Chari is currently the Deputy Director, Academic at the University of Mumbai. She has a Ph. D from the University of Alberta. She has the experience of teaching and counselling students from primary school to higher education in college and university since 1983. Her special areas of interest are E-Learning and research and training in education. Presently, she is guiding 8 Ph.D. and 3 M.Phil. students.
Ms. Anandi Gosrani Co-Founder and Director
Ms.Anandi is a passionate Early years educator with more than 12 years of working in the Pre Primary schooling. She has a B.Sc in Human Development and a B.Ed. She also holds Diploma in Advanced Teacher Training for Young Learners from American TESOL Training Institute, USA and Advanced Diploma in Educational Administration and Management from ATI. She strongly believes in bringing different teaching practices in Foundation years of education. This belief has led her to explore various mediums of learning such as Drama Based learning to integrate theatre in education. She also holds UK Certification for Jolly Phonics. Starting her career as a preschool educator and then a Vice Principal for Junior School, she has nurtured more than 800 students each year. She was the founder Vice Principal of the pre-primary School at Euroschool, Airoli. She has trained teachers, across the country for implementing and effectively using global teaching tools and developing creative teaching strategies for curious young learners. She has been a paper setter and examiner for Children’s literature at Mumbai University. Anandi has also worked intensively in developing pre-school curriculum. She now brings her rich experience and passion to Little Chalks.
